Blackwater

Every night the great vertical migration occurs in the ocean where creatures that live in the deep mesopelagic layers migrate up to the shallower epipelagic zone, returning to depth before dawn. Blackwater dives are conducted in the open ocean over deep water, typically 200 metres or more.
